Editorial Standards

RECO Integrated Psychiatry publishes clinical content on psychiatric medication management, TMS, and neuropsychiatric assessment. The information here is written by clinicians for adults exploring or currently engaged in psychiatric care. Our editorial process is designed to keep the medicine accurate, the language honest, and the recommendations conservative.

Who reviews our content

All psychiatric articles are reviewed by a prescribing clinician licensed in the State of Florida. Our reviewer roster includes Dr. Anthony Campo (MD) and Dr. Charles Norris (MD), board-certified psychiatrists; Dr. Alexander Scheuermann (DO), Medical Director; Dr. Anton Bonci (MD), who leads our TMS and neuroscience protocols; and psychiatric nurse practitioners Todd Ludwig (PMHNP-BC), Jacqueline Simon (APRN, PMHNP-BC), and Frances Murphy (APRN), plus psychiatric physician assistant Kathleen Simervil (MSPA, PA-C, CAQ-Psych).

Every article carries two names: the clinician who wrote it and a second, differently credentialed clinician who reviewed it. This is not a formality. Medication management content is checked line by line against current prescribing labels; TMS and neurostimulation content is checked against FDA-cleared indications and the parameters we actually use in clinic.

Sourcing standards

We source from the peer-reviewed psychiatric literature, from federal regulators (FDA, NIMH, SAMHSA), from the DSM-5-TR for diagnostic language, and from the practice parameters of the APA, ASAM, and Clinical TMS Society. When we cite a study, we link to the abstract on PubMed or to the original journal page. Trade-name medications are cross-referenced to their generic name and to the current FDA prescribing label.

Population statistics come from federal surveys (NSDUH, NHIS) or from peer-reviewed epidemiology, never from advocacy-organization summaries. If a study is single-center or preliminary, we say so.

How we correct errors

Reports of factual errors, outdated dosing information, or misattributed studies should be emailed to editorial@recopsychiatry.com. We aim to acknowledge within three business days and to publish corrections within five. All corrections are noted at the foot of the article with the date the change was made. Anything touching medication guidance is re-reviewed by a prescriber before the change is published.
