Frequently asked

Questions about our services

From your first evaluation through advanced therapies like TMS and Spravato, here's what you can expect — and how we'll help you choose what's right for you.

What services does RECO Integrated Psychiatry offer?

A full continuum of psychiatric care: comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, individual psychotherapy, family therapy, group therapy, evidence-based modalities like CBT, DBT, and EMDR, plus advanced interventions including TMS therapy, Spravato (esketamine nasal spray), IV ketamine therapy, pharmacogenetic testing, neuropsychological assessment, and telepsychiatry — all under one integrated team.

How do I know which service is right for me?

You don't need to know yet. That's exactly what the initial psychiatric evaluation is for. Our clinicians take the time to understand your symptoms, history, what you've already tried, and what's important to you — then we recommend a treatment plan together. Many patients combine several modalities (e.g., medication management + EMDR for trauma, or TMS alongside therapy).

Are TMS and Spravato FDA-approved?

Yes. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is FDA-cleared for treatment-resistant depression, OCD, and anxious depression. Spravato (esketamine) is FDA-approved for treatment-resistant depression and major depressive disorder with suicidal ideation. Both are administered in our office under medical supervision, with clear safety protocols and monitoring throughout treatment.

Do you accept insurance for these services?

Most major insurance plans cover psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and standard therapy. TMS and Spravato are typically covered for treatment-resistant depression after standard treatments have been tried — coverage criteria vary by carrier. We handle insurance verification and prior authorization for you, and clearly explain your out-of-pocket cost before any treatment begins. Call (561) 464-4077 to verify your specific plan.

Can I combine multiple services in one treatment plan?

Absolutely — and most plans do. Integration is the point. A patient with treatment-resistant depression might receive TMS, weekly psychotherapy, medication management, and pharmacogenetic testing simultaneously. The team coordinates all services so nothing happens in isolation, and your psychiatrist sees the full picture.

How long until I see results from treatment?

Timelines vary by service. Spravato and IV ketamine often produce rapid improvement within hours to days. TMS typically requires a 4–6 week course before peak benefit. Medication adjustments take 2–6 weeks to show full effect. Therapy is more gradual — meaningful change usually appears across 6–12 sessions. We measure progress at every visit and adjust the plan if something isn't moving.

Is telepsychiatry as effective as in-person care?

For evaluations, medication management, and most therapy, research shows telepsychiatry produces equivalent outcomes to in-person care — and dramatically improves access and consistency. Procedures like TMS, Spravato, and IV ketamine require in-person visits for safety reasons. We design hybrid plans that combine the best of both based on what your treatment needs.
